Your National League South Team Of The Weekend

By Sam Elliott

What a first day of the season it was - and with no fewer than six forward scoring two goals or more, our selection skills have been severely tested early on!

Thankfully we have a strong bench to call upon. The official National League Team South of the Weekend is ready - the 11 starters, five subs the top manager from the opening day has been picked.

It wasn’t easy, but we think this side would be quite formidable going by the feedback we’ve received.

We talk to those involved in the game to make sure our select side is on the money each week as we give the stand-our stars the recognition they deserve..

Managers, club officials and journalists help us to piece together a team to be proud of.
