Who's Hot And Who's Not In The National League

With games coming thick and fast, confidence is key and if you’ve been struggling to pick up points, the thought of three games in less than a week is not a welcome one.

So we’ve looked at the hottest and coldest sides in the Vanarama National League over the previous six games - is your side included?

Who’s Hot

Tranmere Rovers

Are Rovers finally starting to click into gear? It certainly looks like it. They’ve won four of their last six National League fixtures and scored 15 goals in the process. We all know they have the quality and they finally seem to be getting the results. If they keep it up, they’ll be in the top seven in no time.

Aldershot Town

Like Tranmere, Aldershot have won four of their previous six games, drawing one and losing the other. They’ve only scored eight times but let in just two so goals haven’t been a problem. They lost their most recent game at home in disappointing fashion to FC Halifax so will need to bounce back.

Dagenham & Redbridge

With the same record over the last six games as the clubs above them on the list, it’s only goals that are separating them. The Daggers have won four in a row now and that includes three successive clean sheets. The quality is there for John Still and Dagenham are starting to make their mark.

Who’s Not

Hartlepool United

Pools have lost three in a row and have only picked up four points from their last six games. Their only victory was a big one - 4-0 over FC Halifax - but they have found the net just once in the other five fixtures. The good news? Craig Harrison’s men are only seven points adrift of the play-off places.

Guiseley

Behind Eastleigh, Guiseley have conceded the most amount of goals in the previous six National League fixtures. They’ve also failed to score themselves in four of those games so times have been tough for Paul Cox’s men. Their recent good showing in the FA Cup, however, is cause for optimism.

Eastleigh

They may have the worst form in the National League but at least the Spitfires are serving up some entertainment for supporters! Their 4-4 draw with Bromley on Saturday closely followed a 3-3 draw against FC Halifax and a 2-2 stalemate with Maidenhead United. Surely Eastleigh’s defence has to be improve soon?
