What's In Store On Saturday In The National League South?

By Sam Elliott

The National League South swings back into life on Saturday after the sides put their feet up in midweek.

He’s never far from the headlines but Glenn Tamplin has confirmed he will be in charge as Billericay Town look to bounce back from a challenging week.

The colourful owner will be in the dug-out as the Blues go to Hemel looking to get back on track after defeat to Woking.

It was that loss that allowed the Cards to zoom five points clear at the top.

That result was a statement for Alan Dowson - and if they can win at Concord Rangers then things already start to look rather good for the Surrey side.

Concord manager Sammy Moore has demanded a reaction. After looking so strong his team have let in nine goals in two games - nowhere near good enough says the boss.

Eastbourne Borough are up to third and appear to be the surprise package of the season so far.

If they can win at Dartford then Jamie Howell’s team can start believing a life at the right end of the table awaits them this season.

Chelmsford City have been stop-start so far, and now Rod Stringer pits his wits against Steve King, who takes his free-scoring Welling United to Essex.

Wealdstone are fifth but need to be better on the road. They won’t have it easy at Dulwich Hamlet.

Bottom markers Weston-super-Mare could probably do without a trip to in-form Hampton & Richmond Borough. The Beavers have won four from five.

Bath City’s late and unlucky loss at East Thurrock needs to be a blip says manager Jerry Gill. They can set the record straight at home to Hungerford, while the Rocks host St Albans.

Torquay United have another win on the board after seeing off Hemel but they need to follow that up at home to Chippenham who don't forget have just beaten Billericay and Concord.

Truro City start life under new manager Leigh Robinson with an awkward trip to Gloucester City.

Two inconsistent sides clash heads at Arbour Park. Slough Town, on the back of a valiant victory at Chelmsford, want to follow that up with a win at home to Oxford City.
