Smith Hails Bromley Side Who Wouldn't Give In

By Tom Feaheny

Bromley boss Neil Smith says their 1-0 win at Guiseley showed what the team is all about.

They may have missed two penalties but Bromley left Yorkshire with the win thanks to an Iffy Allen strike in the 94th minute, writes Tom Feaheny.

“We once again showed a commitment that was just fantastic to see, to go to the last minute and keep going despite the two missed penalties,” Smith said.

“We have players missing and kind of had to trial new players during league games but they gave me their all and to be where we are in the league is down to the work we are all doing.

“We have faced a very good team, even with ten men, we knew they’d be tough to break down, so to do just that is very pleasing."

Bromley next are back at home in seven days time and Smith wants them to build on their good start to the season in-front of their fans.

“Our home form is crucial, we know that the next two games can move us into an even better position, if we can play like we have done but we know how tough this will be.”
