Daggers Are Sharper - And That’s Sensational For Still

Dagenham manager John Still couldn’t hold back his delight after his side found their scoring touch at the perfect moment.

The one-time leaders have really struggled for goals lately and that, the boss said, has cost them vital points.

Dagenham hadn’t scored more than one in a game since September 23 and the visit to bottom club Solihull Moors.

But that’s over now - they came from 2-0 down to beat one of the other strugglers, Guiseley.

Still was thrilled by the character shown but now wants it to continue.

“It was a big three points,” said the manager. “There was a lot of spirit on display and that pleased us.

“We upped the tempo at the right time and we scored three good goals..

“We haven’t been getting them as often as we should be, that’s been apparent but we didn’t let our heads go down.

“We kept going. It would have been easy to sulk but we showed we have the ability and it could turn out to be a very valuable three points to us..”

It sets the Daggers up nicely for the visit of National League leaders Dover Athletic on Tuesday - a game we will be covering on social media as a special feature match.
