Aldershot Have Done Their Homework For Guiseley's Visit

Only the Shots and Dagenham and Redbridge have won both of their two games.

Gary Waddock's side won 2-0 at FC Halifax Town on the opening day and then saw-off Torquay United 3-2 in a thriller on Tuesday night.

Now Guiseley are the visitor's on Saturday, having taken one point so far.

"The pleasing thing is we backed up Saturday's result with a home victory. We want to make this place difficult to come to," Waddock told the club's website.

"We're only two games into the season. Fortunately for us we've picked up two wins but there's lots of football to be played before the end of the season.

"The more points and the more games that you win, you feel a lot more confident. In saying that, those two games are finished now, we have to prepare for Saturday's game."

Guiseley made their 12th signing of the summer this week which might see them get off to a slow start. For Waddock, they're just worrying about themselves: "We had a big influx of players last season and we were able to start quite well, for Guiseley they might take a bit of time to gel, but all we're doing is focusing on Saturday. We have done our homework in preparing the players.

"We've looked at them [Guiseley] and spoken to a couple of people who have played against them so come three o'clock on Saturday we'll be prepared for them."
