Wilkin Taking Nothing For Granted Ahead Of Stockport Trip

Brackley Town boss Kevin Wilkin was full of praise for his side as they get ready for the away tie against Stockport County in the fourth round of the FA Trophy.

Town this time last year lost to the eventual winners York City, so want to get one step further, writes Tom Feaheny.

"We need everyone to be fit and available for that. I would have loved it to have been a home tie of course," Wilkin told the club's website.

"Stockport are an improved side but we will go there and take nothing for granted. The players deserve to go further in the competition.”

Last weekend they defeated Darlington 3-0 and kept up their impressive home form, Lee Ndlovu, Aaron Williams and Jimmy Armson were all on the score sheet and helped keep the pressure on Harrogate Town and Salford City.

Wilkin says it is important that they got that job done and now have their full focus on Saturday's game.

“It was a good performance overall, we worked hard especially out of possession, got our noses in front and stayed organised.

"We were full value for the win to stay on the tails of the leaders. That is now done for a few days now we need to perform like that to get to the semi-finals."
