What's In Store In The National League South On Saturday?

By Sam Elliott

It’s fair to say the top two haven’t been doing things the easy way of late as they grapple for the National League South championship.

So will it be another turbulent Saturday afternoon or will the leading lights have things more their own way?

After losing a man inside 15 minutes last weekend, Torquay United know they won’t be able to get away with that again like they did against Dartford!

Sammy Moore and his Concord Rangers side are looking to do Woking a big favour in Essex as they look to be out on top in the battle of the yellows.

Alan Dowson’s Cards have home advantage over Slough Town - and currently lead the way by a single point. Don’t forget, the title chasers meet early in April.

It’s a long way back to third place, and Bath City sit in behind - they go to Eastbourne Borough.

Welling may have blown a 3-1 lead at home to Woking but Steve King’s side top the form guide. The manager will be expecting three points at Weston-super-Mare but the managerless Seagulls know time is fast running out.

Billericay Town coach Jamie O’Hara says they have to get back in form and fast - the Blues welcome struggling Hungerford.

East Thurrock are the other side in the bottom three but they will welcome a game with Hemel Hempstead, the Tudors haven’t won in months and have lost four of their last six.

Two inconsistent sides meet with Oxford City at home to Dulwich Hamlet.

Injury-hit St Albans City have a four point gap to make up on the play-offs and welcome a Gloucester City side fighting for survival.

Wealdstone also have that same task, and they sit in ninth. They need to win at home to Chippenham, while Hampton - who manager Gary McCann was angry at as they collapsed at home to Concord last time out - go to Dartford.

Billericay Town v Hungerford

Hemel Hempstead v East Thurrock
