Sports Snap Up A Saint But Lose Taylor At The Same Time

Eastbourne Borough have signed a striker - but lost another.

Manager Jamie Howell has confirmed the Sports have added St Albans’ Charlie Walker to their forward line.

But Jamie Taylor has told Borough he wants to play elsewhere next season.

Walker arrives along with midfielder David Martin, a player Howell says will add healthy competition in his squad.

The manager paid tribute to Taylor and says he understands why he had to move on.

He told the club’s website: “Jamie was great for me last season - always committed and will be remembered fondly at Eastbourne Borough

“But with the quality of strikers we have and the addition of Charlie Walker I understand his need and desire to play regular football which I cannot guarantee at this time.”

Already confirmed to return are Sergio Torres, Kane Wills, Yemi Odubade, Harry Ransom, Lloyd Dawes and goalkeeper Mark Smith.
