Orient Are Showing Just Why Edinburgh Kept Faith In Squad

The O’s bass has stuck with most of last season’s squad - with just a small handful of new arrivals.

He is still keen to do a little more business but Orient showed in their 7-0 thrashing of Harlow Town that they may not need anyone else.

Edinburgh told the club’s website that he knew he wouldn’t have to rip things up over the close season.

“I think first and foremost we have come out of it with no injuries,” the manager said. “It was very pleasing to score some goals as well.

“I think it’s a very together squad, and they showed it.

“I don’t think it needed wholesale changes, it did need some players to come in but you expect that. There’s a good spirit and we’re not bedding in too many players.

“We’re looking at one or two new players,” he added. “We would like to strengthen more and there’s always room for improvement.

“But whoever we bring in needs to not just be a number in our squad. They have to be good, good players.”
