Now That's Wheely Good News For The Bluebirds' Fans

Chippenham Town fans have received a little pick-me-up after their weekend thrashing at the hands of Welling United - they'll soon able to park a lot easier!

The Vanarama National League South have secured a strip of land next to the club's ground.

That will be put to good use and fans will get the benefit with up to 40 spaces available.

It should make their loss to Welling United a little bit easier to take. Watch Highlights Here.

Chippenham chairman Neil Blackmore said: "We were aware that consent had been given recently for the change of use of a small area of adjacent land to enable the extension of our existing club car park and we have now been advised that consent has also been given for our actual plans for the additional spaces.

"There are one or two points that still need to be ironed out with Wiltshire Council such as tree work and lighting before work can begin and I hope we can do that quickly so that we can move on to putting a programme of work together that fits around our schedule.

"We regard this as a crucial step in the football club's development and I am immensely grateful for the work, over many months, that has been undertaken by all the parties involved to get us to this point."

Chippenham manager Mark Collier is keen to consign their heavy loss at Welling to history.

He says lessons will be learned and he believes the team will be in a much better place when they take to the field against Wealdstone in the league this weekend.
