Injury-hit Ferriby Forced To Pull Plug On Friendly

North Ferriby United manager Steve Housham has said sorry to Ossett Town for calling off Monday's friendly.

Ferriby have a minor injury crisis and the boss doesn't think his threadbare squad can cope with playing tomorrow's match.

"It's not the step we wanted to take," said Housham following Saturday's 3-1 victory over a young Hull City side.

"We have taken a few knocks and we've got to try and get through that.

"We are going to have to call Monday's game off because of injuries.

"I have to apologise for that of course but that's football. I will call them personally and explain but we have got to look after ourselves."

The National League North club will still play Cleethorpes Town on Wednesday evening but the club confirmed they will play trialists and academy players.
