Hill Tells His Fleet Players All They Need To Do Is Believe

Garry Hill isn’t surprised by his start at Ebbsfleet United - now he wants his team to really begin to believe.

The former Woking manager is coming up to a month in charge and so far, so good since replacing Daryl McMahon.

Saturday’s impressive 2-0 win at Aldershot made it eight points from a possible 12. Watch highlights here.

Fleet fans are very impressed by their new manager but his unbeaten National League start will be tested on Saturday when they welcome Barnet.

The Kent club have got themselves back to within sight on the top seven and with the team now just five points away from the play-offs the supporters are hopeful again.

Hill said: “We’re managing to get results as well as performances now, and that was always going to be the top priority.

“I’m not surprised by that, or by the good form at the moment. They are more than capable - this is a good team with good players.

“On Saturday we dominated. We were professional and we were clinical - there’s no doubt that. We’ve got some good pros in our dressing room and at the moment things are heading in the right direction.

“But we can’t go shouting from the rooftops. We’ve got to start believing we’re capable of doing well in this league.”
