Havant Keep Up Good Form To The Delight Of Boss Bradbury

Havant & Waterlooville boss Lee Bradbury has challenged his side to keep their brilliant recent form going - and win the National League South.

The Hawks beat rivals Bognor Regis Town 3-0 on New Year’s Day to keep the pressure on leaders Dartford.

The Hawks are unbeaten in the National League South since the 3-2 home defeat to Welling United back in September and Bradbury is confident his side can continue their impressive form.

“I think it’s 14 weeks now that we’ve not lost in the League and the players are taking a lot of pride in their performances,” Bradbury told Hawks TV. “We’re hoping to stretch that run for as long as we can.

“I was happy with seven points in three games over the Christmas period. If you keep that up, you’ll win the league. We’ve got to carry on working hard and we will because we’ve got an honest group.”

Bradbury was also full of praise for striker Matt Tubbs who scored twice in the victory over Bognor.

“I always knew Tubbsy was a goalscorer,” Bradbury added. “No matter what level, if you give him chances, he’s going to score.

“He’ll be disappointed he didn’t have at least a hat-trick! I won’t criticise him though because he linked the play well, he was intelligent in his play and scored a couple of goals. He’s really starting to come to the party.”
