Hannant Re-Unites With Aspin At Port Vale

By Steve Whitney

Neil Aspin, manager of SkyBet League Two side Port Vale, has returned to his former club Gateshead to sign midfielder Luke Hannant.

Hannant joins the Valiants for an undisclosed fee on a deal that is due to expire in the summer of 2019.

It will be the second time that the midfielder links up with Aspin as he initially signed Hannant for The Heed during his tenure in the North-East.

Hannant went on to make forty-six appearances for the Tynesiders, scoring 4 goals in total.

Originally on the books at Norwich City, the 23-year-old played for Cambridge United, Dereham Town and Ebac Northern League side Team Northumbria.

Hannant will link up with his new team-mates as he battles to make the squad for Vale’s visit to Accrington Stanley on Saturday.
