Davies's Delight As Another Win Is Secured

Southport boss Kevin Davies says his team making it five wins from seven shows the quality the team has.

For a side who began 2018 knowing they had a set of important games coming up, they left yesterday with another victory after defeating North Ferriby United 3-0, writes Tom Feaheny.

"We knew the games coming up would be crucial, to win back to back away games three nil shows the attitude the players have," Davies told the club's website.

"We came here and did the right things and the start was good, we got a little bit frustrated, we kept control of the game."

Since the start of 2018, the side have won all their home matches and picked up some impressive away wins as well, Davies can see the progress that is being made.

"There is a pride in how we are playing, the lads are confident and that is showing right now.

"The group is here and we are keen to keep on improving but the signs of our progress is there."
