Darts Have The Belief To Hit Their Title Target - Burman

Tony Burman reckons Dartford’s late winner against Hampton & Richmond shows they have the belief to take the National League South title.

The Darts needed a last-minute strike from Alfie Pavey to defeat promotion rivals Hampton.

The same man also scored at the death against Hemel Hempstead Town and the Darts have won three in a row since their home defeat to Poole Town.

Pavey’s late winner on Good Friday saw Princes Park erupt after a tight game played on a quickly deteriorating pitch.

“The ground staff did brilliantly to get the game on and on chances I think we deserved to get the result,” Burman told the club’s Soundcloud.

“Leaving it as late as it was, that happens. We’ve had plenty of teams score late against us and it’s evening itself out now.

“There’s a little bit of belief back now. There have been some words on and off the field but the support we got yesterday was superb.

“The desire has been back in the last three games. Getting the goal late on means everything.

“We’ve got six games left now and it’s just about winning the next match - that’s the focus.”
