Danny Doesn’t Let His Mind Wonder To The Match Of His Life

Danny Wright has been more animated than most over the past few days but he managed to contain his excitement last night.

The Solihull Moors striker is a huge Arsenal fan and he knows only one game stands between he and his team-mates lining up against his boyhood favourites.

But the promotion-chasers managed to forget all about their FA Cup replay with Blackpool and focus on the matter in hand on Tuesday night.

A 2-0 win over Harrogate kept their impressive season going and Wright told the National League’s Oli Osborn that it has been tricky not thinking about what could be.

“I’m a big Arsenal fan so you could say I’m looking forward to the replay!” Wright said.

“It’s just a great club to be around at the moment. There’s a little bubble forming and the players are creating a special bond. We’ve got a good little atmosphere here.

“It’s helping us get results. We were excellent and got a really important win. It keeps us where we want to be.

“We looked dangerous and pacy up top. As long as we keep that going we will score a lot more goals.

“We have had a couple of 0-0 draws at home so it was nice to get that win and it sets us up nicely now.

“It was a great performance all round, we were really solid and against a good side like Harrogate you know you have to be on top of your game.”
