Burman: My Dartford Players Gave It Everything

Dartford exited the FA Trophy after losing on penalties to National League side Boreham Wood, with manager Tony Burman proud of his side's efforts.

The Darts were moments away from progressing to the next round but conceded in added time, this led to extra-time and then the shootout, writes Tom Feaheny.

”I am disappointed to go out of the FA Trophy I couldn’t of asked anymore from my players, I thought we were excellent on the night and our game plan worked in both matches," Burman told the club's website.

"We matched our opponents in every department and to take the lead away from home twice was a credit to the players unfortunately we conceded a very late goal in the 98th minute which took us into extra time and was a blow for all of us."

"We have played against a very good side in the league above us and if i am honest I felt over the two games we was very unfortunate not to go through."

Dartford are now fully focused on their league campaign where they currently top the National League South, where they next face Braintree Town in a top of the table clash.
