Dragons Ease Pain Of Dover Defeat By Signing Oswell

Wrexham have eased the pain of defeat to Dover Athletic by signing a new striker.

Morecambe’s Jason Oswell - who starred for Stockport County last season - has agreed an 18-month deal.

But it wasn’t the perfect day for the Red Dragons as they dropped three home points to Dover Athletic.

Manager Graham Barrow said: “It looked to be heading for a 0-0 draw but they nicked it.

“We just didn’t have enough up top and they have won it with a great strike. We just couldn’t get going.

“We’ve got to pick ourselves up and quickly. We need to go to Bromley and get three points.”

New striker Oswell could be in the squad for the trip to south east London.
“He’s a natural goal scorer who I have monitored for a while,” the manager said.

“He will come in now and help out up front, an area that I have been wanting to strengthen during this January window.”
