Dev's Magpies Back In Flight

After suffering a 3-0 home defeat last week, Alan Devonshire got his desired response from Maidenhead United yesterday.

The Magpies drew 1-1 with Woking at the Laithwaite Community Stadium - watch match highlights here.

Adrian Clifton put the visitors ahead but the hosts hit back before half-time through Charlie Carter.

Nonetheless, Devonshire was satisfied enough with his side's performance and ultimately the result.

"We'll take a point, they're a decent side," he said. "We had enough chances maybe to wrap it up but we didn't and I'll settle for that. I wanted a response, I got it so I'm not going to knock them, they gave me everything and now we look forward to Tuesday at Eastleigh.

"They gave everything but there'll be a few changes for Eastleigh as it's a totally different game than it was today.

"We knew we let ourselves down that week, it's going to happen, we're in a tough league. All I keep reading is teams going full-time, we're going to end up as the only part-time team. We need to make sure we're fresh for Tuesday."
