Coyle: Break For Winning Welling Will Do Side Good

Welling United don't play until next Saturday in a competitive game, due to their FA Cup exit and player-manager Jamie Coyle says the side will work hard during the break.

The Wings enter this weekend with no match to play but have the momentum of winning their last three league games, writes Tom Feaheny.

"We will try and get the right number of training sessions in and then we will have a game in as well, it will give some of the lads returning a bit more game time and some minutes under their belt," Coyle said to the club's website.

"We have all played a lot of football and the last few matches have taken a bit out the squad, we have put so much into them, so that little break will do us good."

Welling United's last win saw them end with nine men and Connor Dymond had to go in net near the end of the match, they defeated Havant & Waterlooville 3-2.

"The lads stick together work really hard and Connor was outstanding before he went in goal. The manner of the victory, with our midfield winning the battle, I am just really pleased with the way we played, we created chances, we have worked really hard the last few weeks, we got a little bit of luck," Coyle said.

"There has only been one game where I have questioned the desire, I thought we deserved that win."
