Coasters Take Young Latics Keeper For The Rest Of The Season

By Steve Whitney

AFC Fylde have taken young goalkeeper Theo Roberts on `work experience` from SkyBet League One side Wigan Athletic for the rest of the season.

The 19-year-old has been in Wigan`s academy since 2015.

Locally-born, he has progressed well and was included in a few first-team squads last season.

And he made his first-team debut during the EFL Trophy tie against Accrington Stanley at the DW Stadium in November.

He links up with his Latics team-mates Luke Burke and Sam Stubbs, who are also on loan at Mill Farm.
