Cards Play It Right As Tarpey And Poku Commit To The Cause

Woking have announced two new signings - and confirmed the club will remain part-time.

The Cards secured an instant return to the National League after triumphing through the play-offs.

Manager Alan Dowson said straight after that the hard work begins straight away as they make the step up.

He has been as good as his word with two new arrivals little over ten days after winning promotion.

Former Maidenhead and Barnet striker Dave Tarpey has been added to their forward line.

He played for the club on loan last season and Dowson has moved to bring him back.

Dowson said: “I’m delighted, he needs to prove a point at this level and score goals. I’ve been after him for a while.”

Also signing is a player who impressed while playing against them.

Wealdstone midfielder Godfrey Poku - who also used to wear the Woking shirt - is back at the Surrey club.
