Cards Boss Just Wants Players To Have No Regrets

By Sam Elliott

Woking manager Anthony Limbrick wants just one thing from Woking’s mouthwatering FA Cup match with Peterborough United this afternoon.

The Aussie is demanding his team leave the field at 4pm with absolutely no regrets.

The Cards boss has settled has impressed supporters since taking over form popular Garry Hill in the summer.

Their best FA Cup run for years has put them within a win of the third round.

Standing in their way is a talented Peterborough United team who wiped the floor with ten-man Tranmere Rovers in the last round.

But Limbrick takes solace from the fact that their fellow National League club took them to a replay at London Road.

Limbrick has also called on the club’s fans to help generate an atmosphere which could give Woking the edge.

“It’s a game we have been looking forward to since we beat Bury in that fantastic night in Manchester,” he said.

“Peterborough United will be the favourites and we know but so we’re Bury so we have got to believe and we do believe.

“All I ask is that the players go back into that dressing room at full time having left nothing behind and having no regrets. It’s all anyone can ask.

“The fans will do everything they can like they did in the last round - they have been waiting for this just as much as we have.

“We will give it everything we have got. This club has a great FA Cup tradition and we can write a new chapter it in this weekend.”
