BT Cameras Roll! Barnet Travel To Hartlepool United

By Tom Scott

The second of our live BT Sport games this weekend promises to be an absolute cracker at Victoria Park.

John Still’s Barnet were much fancied at the beginning of the season but make the journey to County Durham sitting in mid-table, nine points adrift of the play-off places.

Hartlepool United are slightly better off than their opponents but Matthew Bates’ side have just one win in their last seven league games.

One of the highlights for Pools this season has been midfield maestro Liam Noble. He’s got seven goals this season and he told us how much he’s looking forward to the test of Barnet on Sunday.

“We started off great and then we lost it a bit with our results,” he said. “But I think we’re getting back on track now to be where we want to be at the end of the season.

“Barnet are a big club and they were a league club last season, so it will definitely be a tough test for us, but we need to concentrate on us and make sure we get it right.

“Playing on television brings pressure but it’s a good pressure. Your friends and family are all watching you so it’s good he cameras are there for us really.”

The Bees come into the game on the back of two straight defeats and will no doubt look to the good form of Wes Fonguck for a chance of victory.

The 21-year-old has four goals to his name in his side’s last five games and believes they have the potential to perform better than they have been so far this season.

“The season has been ok so far but as a team, we believe we can do better, and we know it will come,” he said. “At times this season we have deserved more than we’ve got but we know there’s nothing we can do. We just have to put things right in the future because we believe if we play to our best, we can beat anyone in the league on our day.”
