Brown Looks Forward To Telford Return With Brackley

Striker Andy Brown played for AFC Telford United and returns to the New Bucks Head with his new side Brackley Town.

Andy Brown made an instant impression with Brackley Town after scoring the winning goal in their 2-1 victory against FC United of Manchester, writes Tom Feaheny.

Town now have their first away game AFC Telford United, with Brown telling the club's website he is looking forward to facing one of his old clubs.

“I will enjoy it. It is a lovely stadium and I know a few of the lads there. Going there early in the season means that hopefully the pitch will provide a good surface.”

Brown says gaining that first win of the season was important as they look to gain momentum.

“The start to the season is very busy with lots of games but I am happy to get the games under our belt early on. It was nice to get a goal against FC United on my first appearance of course. We dominated the game but didn’t take our opportunities so in terms of the game it was a relief to come back and get that goal to put us ahead again.

The forward believes that the variety of attacking players in Brackley's squad means they can all work well together.

"As a striker I obviously want to score goals but my role is to contribute more widely to the team also and to help our other forwards.

"Lee Ndlovu is a strong and quick player with natural attributes and Steve Diggin is a very good finisher with an eye for goal. We are very different players but I hope we can work together to form partnerships and get among the goals.”
