Brewers Fox Returns To National League With Gateshead

Gateshead have completed the signing of 19-year-old central midfielder Ben Fox on loan from SkyBet Championship side Burton Albion until the end of the season.

Fox has previously had spells on loan with National League North side Tamworth and The Heed`s league rivals Solihull Moors, but has also represented the Brewers at first-team level, scoring the winner in a 2-1 EFL Cup victory over Cardiff City back in August.

He played five times this season for Solihull and will be a welcome addition to the Heed`s currently thin midfield resources, following the departure of Luke Hannant.

Following the completion of his loan move which came hot on the heels of him signing a contract extension with Burton until 2020, Fox told the club`s official website: “I`m absolutely delighted. To go and make the step-up to the National League and hopefully get as much game-time as I can to be ready for next season”.
