Breeden Believes Work Ethic Of Brakes Will Lead To Success

The Leamington stopper has been through the highs and lows with the Brakes and believes this season they can achieve a successful season due to the work ethic in the group.

The Brakes stopper is preparing for their next match which is in the FA Cup against a fellow Vanarama National League North side in Gainsborough Trinity, the team they beat on the opening day of the season, writes Tom Feaheny.

I think so far this season you look at that first game, to go and win away was a massive result, but then obviously we had a few games where we never picked up any points. I thought we were performing okay but making silly mistakes and kept getting punished for his last year would not have got punished as clinically," He said.

"The competition from top right through to bottom is huge, with so many of them being full-time it's difficult to compete with that."

When looking at the FA Cup, the keeper knows that while the overall aim is their league form, a cup run could help with that.

"With the FA cup it's nice to have actually won one game its been that long! It has been at least 8years personally, the club have won one or two since my first stint so to have a good run would be brilliant.

"We know our main objective is to stay i the league which would be a great achievement but a very realistic one! Anything extra than that is a bonus."

Breeden is in his third spell with the club and has played over 200 games for the side, he spoke about the main reasons why he enjoys playing for Leamington.

"I love playing for this club and the gaffer. Over the years here the teams have been based on good hardworking characters and this year is no different the fans and club have always made my football enjoyable and for me that's the main thing and every time I've played here that's how it has been so I'm grateful for that."
