Bower: Consistency Can Get Avenue Into Play-Offs

Bradford Park Avenue boss Mark Bower says his side need to find their old formula that saw them go into the play-off places.

Avenue in recent weeks have won one, drawn one and lost one, with those dropped points seeing the side fall out the play-off places, writes Tom Feaheny.

They next take on Blyth Spartans and Salford City another two teams going for promotion.

"It was disappointing for us on Saturday as we didn't reach the levels we were at last Monday," Bower said to the club's website.

"We dust ourselves down and will go again next week, looking for that performance that we know we have."

Results didn't go for Avenue last weekend either with York City and Spartans both winning.

Avenue's boss knows how important a good start will be at the weekend.

"I thought in the last two matches we have started well, in one we scored in the other we lacked a bit of quality with our final ball, that can be the difference."
