Boro Add To Coaching Staff

Eastbourne Borough have announced the appointment of a new youth management and coaching team.

The team will be led by Graeme Mintrim and he will be assisted by Luke Carpenter.

The under-18 team will train alongside the first-team as Jamie Howell, Danny Bloor and Ian Simpemba put the senior squad through their paces.

Mintrim is an experienced manager and coach having had extensive experience in both playing and coaching roles.

He played at Eastbourne Town, Hailsham Town and Hassocks before moving into coaching and management roles.

He progressed through the ranks at Crowborough Athletic as reserve team manager, first-team assistant-manager before taking over the first-team management role in 2013.

Mintrim has also coached at AFC Uckfield Town and at Eastbourne Town youth development centre.

Carpenter has a playing history with Chipstead in the Bostik League and with Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells in the Southern Counties East League.

He has also been a coach and manager at AFC Uckfield Town, and provided coaching services to East Sussex and West Kent District representative squads. With a sports coaching business he also has experience in coaching young adults and children.

Borough feel that this management team, with their history within adult and youth football, are well suited to oversee individual player and under-18 team development whilst also playing a role with the integration of young players into a first-team environment where and when appropriate with the first-team management - a real pathway into National League South opportunities.

Graeme and Luke will shortly be in contact with existing and prospective players to advise training schedules for the forthcoming season.
