Beck: Full-Time Football Reason For Move

Harrogate Town's new signing Mark Beck says leaving Darlington was simply down to wanting to get back to being full-time.

Striker Beck who last season was on the scoresheet 18 times in the National League North made the move to the 2nd placed side yesterday, writes Tom Feaheny.

“I always had a desire to return to full time football where I’d been earlier in my career," Beck told Darlington's website.

“My aim was always to go full time again and I was hoping that it would be with Darlington.

"The offer to join Harrogate came along at the weekend, and I felt that I had to take the opportunity as they’re a full time club.

Beck who impressed against Town in recent matches will be seen as an added option for Simon Weaver's side as they battle for top spot.
