Alfie On Board As Rocks Look To Get Over Late Agony

East Thurrock hope Wimbledon’s Alfie Egan can help them cure their late heartache.

Not once but twice already have the Rocks let in last minute goals to lose in the National League South.

On Saturday Woking’s last gasp penalty saw them defeated and on Wednesday at Dulwich they suffered the same agonising fate.

Midfielder Egan, the talented Dons’ 20-year-old, has been signed by manager John Coventry for three month.

Wimbledon assistant Neil Cox said: “Alfie has played Under-23 football now for two years and I think he's played too much of it.

"He needs to go out and play first-team football on Saturdays. It will be beneficial for Alfie and he will only be a better player for the experience."
