Aldershot Bring In Ipswich Youngster On A Month`s Loan

Aldershot Town have signed young midfielder James Blanchfield on a month`s loan from SkyBet Championship side Ipswich Town.

Born in Southend, the 20-year-old began his career with Arsenal at the age of eight and, following a trial with Manchester United, joined the Tractor Boys in 2014.

Blanchfield signed his first professional contract in July 2016 - a deal which was subsequently extended until the summer of 2018, and has remained a regular in the under-23 squad at Portman Road.

Blanchfield is available for selection as The Shots host Maidstone United at the EBB Stadium on Saturday, kicking-off at 12.30pm.
