Ainsley Knows The Importance Of Brewery Field Form

Spennymoor Town sit fourth in the Vanarama National League North after another victory that means they have only lost once at home this season so far.

Jason Ainsley the Spennymoor boss was full of praise for how his side performed after they defeated Alfreton Town 2-1 at the weekend, writes Tom Feaheny.

When looking at the result and the importance of their home form, Ainsley told the club's website.

"I think we started the game and were the dominant team, we looked the most likely to score, we get the goal and look to end the game."

He added: "I couldn't have cared if we had performed badly but won, we need to turn this place into a fortress pick the points us, we grafted hard, I can't fault the players once again they were outstanding."

While being in the play-off places after a fine start to the season has shocked some, Ainsley knows the hard work is not done yet for his team, as they face some tricky tests in the new few matches.

"Expectation levels for us have stayed the same, we know we have some tough tests coming up, I'm delighted for everyone, we just have to keep on going."

Due to their FA Cup exit they are not in action this weekend, Ainsley wants to ensure his players recharge their batteries.

"We will work hard on Tuesday and Thursday, the lads will get next Saturday off as a reward for the win, it's important to have got that win now with that bit of time off."
