Actions Mean More Than Words For New Pools Man Mafuta

One of Salford City's Promotion Final heroes is back in the National League looking to do it all again.

Gus Mafuta played a big part in the Ammies' promotion last season, playing in the Wembley showpiece against AFC Fylde.

But now he finds himself back in the division again with Hartlepool United.

His new boss Craig Hignett has made no secret of his desire to reach to Football League once again - something Mafuta believes is now time to make a reality.

“The team we have got here now is capable of competing but there’s no time for any talking – it’s about going and showing everyone we can do it," he told the club's video service.

"They have a lot to forward to because it seems like this club is starting to get back to where I think it belongs.

"Now it’s up to us lads to put in performances on the pitch. I’m very excited, this is a massive football club," he added.
